About Me

I began my tech journey back in 2013 with a class blog and I haven’t looked back. I love everything tech for what it can add to learning. It brings the world into a classroom and engages students like nothing else!

In 2014, I was one of the founding members of QLD Tech Brekkies. We are a group of tech-loving teachers who love to find and share digital resources. The power of teachers collaborating online is tremendous. Finding like-minded souls who push your thinking on all things education is paramount to growth. Thank you, ladies, for encouraging me and at times being my lighthouse.

Our team has created a couple of blogs to promote writing and global reading collaborations. Keep an eye out in Term 3 for our collaboration for GRA 2017.

In 2016, I left the classroom after 15 years of teaching and moved into the Digital Technologies teacher role/Librarian. I needed a change, and this role matched all of my passions. I am forever thankful to my wonderful principal, Mary Franklin, who believed in me and gave me such an incredible opportunity. Thank you, Mary 🙂

2017 Goals: Get out into the world and become a tech mentor. Is your school starting your journey? I am happy to chat about how our school implemented Digital Technologies, blogging, creating a makerspace and young entrepreneurs.
